Approach to an Astrologer

Most of us are curious to know about our future.
We want to know the answers to many questions like "When would I get married?" , "What career should I choose?", "When would this happen?", "Will I be Rich?", "Will I succeed in business?", or you have questions about children, loved ones, health etc.

You approach an astrologer. You are eager to get an answer to your question for the future or find a solution to your problem. The astrologer gives his prediction. There is no way to  know the basis for his prediction except for the horoscope, but yet one believes what one hears from the astrologer,  just as one has no medical knowledge and yet believes what the doctor predicts and prescribes.

There is certainly lot of difference in what the doctors do and what the astrologer does. But the thing is that we have faith in our doctor while the astrologer , well we somehow do not fully trust the astrologers.

It is for this very reason that we always are looking for a good astrologer.

The doctor cures the disease, we feel well and the symptoms of the disease also disappear but it is not the same case with an astrologer. Why ?

The doctor gives us a prescription, it is for some specific medicines, to be taken in a particular time frame. This is the remedy to our illness.  Since we are ill and uncomfortable due to the disease we take the medicine and follow all the instructions of the doctor. The problem gets fixed and we follow the prescription till the doctor advises. This is a short term process,  well if there  is some what a chronicle disease the treatment will be long or for that matter some life style changes need to be made and some medicine or treatments are continued for a long period.  But if  we do not follow the doctor’s advise,  we feel uncomfortable and then again we take medicines which give relief.

ON the other hand, the problems with which we go to the astrologer are  long term problems such as  "Will I succeed in business?" or  "When would I get married?". Such things come to our mind when we are having  stressful and unhappy times and we rush to an astrologer and want instant answer or remedy.

Yes it is possible the astrologer can give an instant answer as well as a remedy. It maybe  wearing some stone or getting to do some “puja” etc. But then what happens, usually nothing happens soon enough to feel its effects. And we lose our faith in Astrology and the Astrologer. We forget that the problem we have such as the above given examples are   long term situations and will need a long term remedy. We do not give enough time to the remedies and or have a half hearted approach . No business becomes successful overnight or in a month or two neither do we find the right marriage partners quickly, and even if we do, we take time for getting married as we ourselves want to understand our feelings and our partner.

Moreover the Astrologers  are also to blame for the lack of trust people have in them. Either the Astrologers are “doom and gloom” astrologers or mere quick fix solutions for the sake of getting money in the name of “ puja”, etc. which rarely are the right remedies . These are the astrologers who call planets like Saturn “malefic”—as if a planet could reach down and make your life a living hell.

Fortunately or unfortunately, astrology "works" as a Truth Vehicle Only to the extent that the Astrologer comprehends   the duties of the planets which are  executing the “ Will of God” and  the ability of the astrologer to accurately explain those duties (if not that Will!) of the planets to the asker. This is a tall order, indeed!

A successful reading combines knowledge of the “vidya of Jyotisha”, with deep personal intuition developed in meditation, prayer and a sense of caring for others.

WHAT IS ASTROLOGY ?

Astrology is a science which tells us about the future .
Astrology  is a Greek word which actually means “Will of God”
Astrology is the science  of interpreting the "allegories, mythologies, and symbols" associated with the "planetary regents" (our local sun's orbiting planets) as they affect "the terrestrial system" with particular attention toward" human individuals."
To be more scientific in our  approach to Astrology we should define planets  as  simply different types of  energies that affect an individual.
By  an accurate recording of the new born baby's first in-breath, it is quite easy  to construct a snapshot of the planets at the moment of birth, based on straightforward geometric calculations.
But it  is not easy for humans  to understand, and clearly articulate, the greatness of the Plan revealed in those geometric patterns.
Practical astrologers know that:
·   All reality begins with God.
·   God's Plan extends even into such obscure nooks and crannies of the universe as the Milky Way galaxy.
·   the Plan reaches into this remote little 12-planet solar system we call "Home"!
·   the Plan moves with absolute order into the "terrestrial system," of our beloved planet Earth.
·   the Plan creates an ordered Life Experience for each tiny human.
·   It's Awesome.
I myself did not believe in astrology. I believed in working hard and honestly and did
my best yet the master stroke of fate tumbled the cart of my goodies. At the last

moment when I was just reaching the finishing line and I was staring at success,

things went wrong. WHY?

FATE, KARMA

Yes that is it. Because of our karma our fate is determined and our horoscope gives a snapshot of our Karma and fate.

So what is this all important  horoscope?

Our horoscope is a plan of action  as a result of our KARMA. Our horoscope gives all the story of our future. Astrology gives us the tools to know our future but unfortunately the practice of Astrology has now been commercialized  …people use it as a means of livelihood and as a business . And why not  when the science of medicine…the most noble profession of a doctor has been monetized, then why should not be Astrology be monetized. But all the same, Astrology lays great emphasis on horoscope

A horoscope is a diagram. Different diagrams are used by different people . In India itself South Indians ,north Indians and Bengali’s use Different diagrams. However  there is no difference in what the horoscope predict as the destiny is determined by our karma which influences the planet/stars at the time of our birth. A horoscope is rightly described as a map of man's destiny.

Well a very common question and an often asked question is that thousands of people are born at the same place at the same time. So the placement of the  stars/planets  of these people will also be the same , so why are so many people born at the same time and same place different.

Yes this is a question which intrigues thousands of people.

We can have a look at two classic examples:
1)Prominent corporate business figures Bill Gates (Microsoft) and
2) Indra Nooyi (Pepsico) were born on the same day.
Their horoscopes reflect many  similarities
They both are  neechcha Surya nativities and enjoy the exceptionally supportive accompaniment of uchcha Shani and Thula-Shukra.
Mr. Gates' own father was a highly successful attorney (effect of Libra-Thula) in his eponymous Seattle law-firm and like his famous son was also a generous philanthropist.
On the other hand  Ms. Nooyi's leadership, excellence and commitment to global philanthropy (particularly benefitting girls and women ,representing Venus - Shukra) are also well-known.
Astrology, just like other science is based on theorems and calculations.
It is based on the position of the Planets within the houses of the horoscopes

The stars or the main nine planets (GRAHAS)and  our earth are not stationary and are constantly moving. The orbit which we all are familiar with is 360 degrees and with the different planets moving there can be so many different combinations at the same time at one place and hence the difference in the birth chart or fate of every person born on this earth.
Our bollywood is full of movies and cinemas about twins. Born at the same time and place and to the same parents yet they have a different fate. This is true in real life also and a basic knowledge of astrology would clear the doubt about this in a person’s mind.

But why do we ask this question? The answer is that we all are not sure about the truth of Astrology. Most of the people do not trust Astrology to be a science and consider it just a superstition. Therefore to discredit Astrology this is the first question every body raises about Astrology.
Let us start with the first  things first.
Many people are born at the same place at the same time. As per Astrology this is shown by the ASCENDANT. Okay all the people born at the same time at the same place have the same ASCENDANT which is represented by the first House in the Birth Chart. The first house is also called the “TANU BHAVA” that is the body –flesh part, more accurately put in as the appearance of a person. Yet all the people born at the same time at the same place do not look alike, inspite of the fact that they are people born with the same ASCENDANT.  Answer to this question is biological. The Genes of each person are different so people born at the same time and same place do not look alike. Just as we have Genes for our physical characteristics we also have our Karmas and that is what our Birth chart is made of.
We all believe that human body is all flesh and the soul. The flesh body is made of the genes and the soul is made of our Karma.

Look at the fields. The farmer sows many thousands of seeds in the same field. All the seeds get the same nourishment in the same field and yet some seeds grow differently. Some seeds grow into plants while some soon perish while others grow up to maturity. Why does that happen ? Scientist certainly explain this on the basis of genetics but what about that full grown plants ,some get trampled by man, machine or some may be eaten by birds or animals. Why do even simple plants have different fate? They were all sown at the same time, they received the same nourishment at the same time and they are all the in the same field or area. Each plant even each thing has its fate and fate is the will of God.

Look around, and you will find the will of God.
